Sam’s Place is an unsafe event venue located at the home of Prince Edward County Counselor Salvatore “Slimy-Sam” Grosso and Lia-Marie Lyons-Grosso’s residence at 3038 County Road 3, Carrying Place, Ontario. This event venue was dubiosly erected by Slimy-Sam and operated in contravention of municipal zoning and the fire code.
As of writing, Sam’s Place is not compliant with the fire code but has been operated and hosting events dispite this fact. Originally a small horse barn on their rural residential property, the Grosso’s renovated the barn to host commerical public events.

The barn has been renovated to be somewhat esthetically pleasing, however, it lacks proper soundproofing to protect its neighbors from the excessive noise produced by amplified music and proper fire exits to protect patrons in the event of an emergency. Slimy-Sam and Lia have continued to operate the venue in defiance of a shut down order from the Fire Marshall in 2023 citing safety hazards.

Becoming a Councillor after receiving pushback about his illegal venue, Slimy-Sam used his personal and professional connections with fellow corrupt councillors to approve the rezoning of his private property to allow it to become a profit driven event venue despite the impact on his fellow neighbors.
